Title: Founder and Acting Sponsorship Chair 

A motivator and mentor for the youths who need guidance and growth. Andjelo has volunteered and taken leading positions in various Not-for profit and professional organizations such as Global SEAT SA(President), ProductCamp Austin (sustainability Chair), Congolese Community of Charlotte (VP),and  NSPE (UNC Charlotte VP)  has over 22-year career ranging from engineering management to becoming an international strategist in business development trailblazer in various industries,; IT, Telecom, Energy, Real Estates, Trading, mining, and financial solutions. Has acquired extensive cross-functional experiences from project management, program management, asset-contract management to portfolio management.

 Title: Co-Founder and Senior Advisor  

Alain is VP of Business Development for IKOMPANI LLC, a business advisory firm that is focused on linking American and Scandinavian investment capital with investment opportunities in emerging markets of sub-Saharan Africa. Early in his professional career in the late 1990's, Alain managed a  company that was then the largest purveyor of special events parking services in the US. Managing a team of over 400 employees was an invaluable experience that continues to serve him in his business pursuits across Africa.  Alain is a passionate pan-African who participates in causes that aim to advance economic development and human capacity building on the African continent. Serving in YADI alongside smart, well-educated and  engaged young Afro-descendants has been an honor.

Mrs. Myriam Mulenda Ntontolo

 Title: Co-founder and Emeritus Member
Myriam is originally from the DR of Congo. She moved to the United States in December 2012 for education purposes and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems in December 2017. She worked as a Windows Systems Administrator and volunteered at the Red Cross and the Thomas Lay after school Program. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Business Analytics at the University of Georgia and is actively involved in her local church and community. It is her belief that African Descent who are abroad should be aware of the wealth and opportunities that their respective countries and continent hold

Title: Executive Coordinator 

for DC-MD-VA

Bezawit is recent graduate from the University of Toledo.  Beza joined YADI in 2018 to learn about the different cultures in Africa. She received a BA in Economics.  She has an associate degree in Political Science from Northern Virginia Community College. She is passionate about making the world a better place.  Also in Facilitating and coordinating professional networking events and gatherings.

- Organizing and overseeing meetups to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.

- Creating opportunities for professionals to connect, exchange ideas, and build relationships within the diaspora

community.

- Cultivating a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages meaningful interactions among participants.

- Collecting feedback and evaluating the success of meetups to inform future event planning.

- Planning and executing events to achieve specific organizational goals.

Title: Secretary and Acting Treasurer
Mary is a graduate of Hair Academy. Where she studied to be a cosmetologist. She has a background in healthcare. Where she worked with patients who had some developmental challenges for more than 4 years. She is a mother of a very ambitious, smart and beautiful daughter. Mary was born in Cameroon and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. Mary joined YADI to get a better understanding of her culture and other cultures of those with African descent and how her knowledge would help those around her.

  • Incite African youths, college students and young professionals across the United States and throughout the world to
  • Do noble, credible, and well-oriented actions for the wellness of  the next generation, the creation and preservation of legacies.
  • Work in partnership with professional business people from diverse  disciplines, races and cultures is dedicated to working together to  improve disadvantaged communities locally and internationally.
